What a pin looks like on the ground
Notes from last week's deliveries in three cities. The money is small. The moments are not.

Last week 47 pins turned into $141, which turned into three afternoons walking around with an envelope of cash and a camera.
This post won't tell you anything a receipt doesn't already tell you. But sometimes a receipt is just a number, and sometimes you want the number to have a face.
### Brisbane, Tuesday
A man near King George Square. He didn't want his photo taken. We bought him lunch, and I gave him the remainder in cash. He asked me to tell you: thank you.
### Sydney, Wednesday
Four people sheltering at Central. We split the pot four ways, bought sandwiches and warm drinks, and stayed talking for an hour. One of them used to be a music teacher.
### Manchester, Thursday
A single mother at the laundrette. She'd been rationing washes for weeks. We covered a month up front. She said it was the first thing that had gone right all year.
That's what last week's pins were.
